Final Information for MARCH 11th, please read as there are several changes (marked in red) and revised timetable:
Registration will open at 18:10. Please collect your race number from registration desk. Once you have registered please proceed straight to the sportshall and do not loiter in the reception area. Please bring safety pins (we will have limited supply). PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER THAN 18:10, as non-students are not allowed on site before 6pm during term time. We aim to finish the final events around 20:25, with presentation taking place immediately afterwards. We must vacate premises by 21:00.
Parents & Supporters should remain in the viewing area during the competition, only athletes and volunteers in the competition area. Seating will be available for spectators. Toilets available on-site.
Whilst there are no limitations on number of spectators, we would suggest that wherever possible you limit the number of accompanying people with each athlete to ensure the sportshall does not get too crowded.
Athletes will be permitted to warm up in the competition area prior to event starting, but we kindly ask they refrain from using the sportshall equipment during this time. Our young volunteers will lead a group warm-up at 18:30, and events will start at 18:40 sharp.
Some athletes received the incorrect grading on their medal last time - please bring your medal with you if you want to exchange it for the correct grading, we will do exchanges at end of presentation.
Athletes are encouraged to take part in all 5 event, however there is no requirement to do so. All events will be explained to the athletes, and our volunteers will always offer advice and assistance where needed. More info HERE on the events
The timetable (BELOW) should be used as a guide only, the order of events may change subject to how the event is progressing.
This event is about fun, learning and development. Please always offer support and encouragement to all athletes. Any negative comments or abuse will not be tolerated. In order to ensure we keep to schedule, we may split the Year 4 and Year 5 age groups into boys & girls for some field events and run boys first, girls second. Listen for instructions from officials.
At the conclusion of all events, we will present each athlete with a medal. This will include their grading, which is on a scale of 1 to 12 (1 being the highest) and based on the number of points accumulated across the 5 events. We love to see athletes develop and progress and improve their grading! More info HERE on the grading system.
Athletes will have 3 attempts in the chest push and standing long jump, and 2 attempts in the vertical jump (no practice attempts)
Any athlete that breaks an existing "All-Time Record" in their age group will receive a fantastic certificate. Current records can be found HERE
At the conclusion of our March event, our "Club Champions" will be crowned. The points of the top 4 scoring athletes in each club at each meeting count towards team points, plus and additional 1 point for every event completed by the other athletes from the that club.
Result will be published online here by Saturday night at the latest.
Please do not attend the event if you have shown any Covid symptons. Please take note of existing government Covid guidance.
If you wish to take photographs, then please complete the "camera declaration" form at registration.
